Effective from: 1 December 2020
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: GTC) set out the rights and obligations of CASSEE Zrt. (hereinafter: Service Provider) and the Customer (hereinafter: Customer, User, Purchaser, Buyer) using the electronic services provided on the Service Provider’s website. Together: the Parties.
The scope of these GTC extends to all legal relationships created through the Service Provider’s websites (https://www.cassandraprogram.com, https://cassandraprogram.com) and their subdomains.

1.1. Definitions
Service Provider: CASSEE Zrt.
User: Any natural or legal person participating in the Cassandra Program.
GTC: These General Terms and Conditions governing the use of services provided by CASSEE Zrt.
Cassandra Program: The modular climate adaptation program accessible via the website and its subdomains.
Services / Products: Electronic services or products (free or purchased) provided by the Service Provider and available upon registration, such as the Cassandra Program.
Registration: The provision of personal and company data required for the use of the Services.
Website: The Service Provider’s websites (https://www.cassandraprogram.com, https://cassandraprogram.com).
User Login: Access to the purchased service using the User’s email address and a password chosen by the User.
The GTC and the Privacy Policy together form the binding contract (hereinafter: Contract) between the User and CASSEE Zrt.
2. Fundamental Provisions
Governing Law:
For any matters not regulated in these GTC, and for the interpretation of the GTC, Hungarian law shall apply, in particular Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.) and Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues of electronic commerce and information society services (Elker. tv.). Mandatory statutory provisions apply to the Parties without specific stipulation.
Temporal validity:
These GTC are effective from 1 November 2025 and remain in force until withdrawn.
The Service Provider may amend the GTC unilaterally at any time. Amendments shall take effect on the date of publication on the website.
By entering the website or reading any of its content, even without registration, the User acknowledges the GTC as binding. If the User does not accept the GTC, they are not entitled to access or view the website’s content.
The Service Provider retains all rights concerning the website and all content displayed on it.
Downloading, storing, processing or selling any content or part thereof is prohibited without the Service Provider’s prior written consent.
The GTC apply to all transactions and services conducted via the website, regardless of whether performance takes place from Hungary or abroad, by the Service Provider or its subcontractor.
The website distributes online service materials (digital products and consultancy).
Products are ordered exclusively through the online order forms. The net price equals the sum of the listed product prices, which may be reduced by any applicable discounts. The gross price equals the net price plus VAT.
These GTC apply to all electronic commerce services provided within the territory of Hungary. Purchases on the website are governed by Act CVIII of 2001 (“Elkertv.”).
Purchases are made electronically by submitting an order and making payment as specified in these GTC. Modifications to contract terms after purchase are only possible subject to prior agreement with the Service Provider.
3. Registration
3.1. Services are subject to registration.
Newsletter service:
Any visitor may subscribe by providing name and email address.
Registration is confirmed by clicking the link sent to the User via email.
CASSEE Climate Adaptation Program – test access:
The Service Provider may provide access to full or test versions of the CASSEE Program subject to registration. As Services/Products are intended for profit and non-profit organisations, the registering representative must provide the organisation’s identification data and the details necessary for communication and authentication.
Purchase of the CASSEE Program:
Registration also requires financial and invoicing details, as well as the data required for Users participating in the Program to access the system.
3.2. Registered Users may access services/products with different authorisation levels:
Administrator:
The first User to register during purchase.
May create all other Users, view and modify all User and Project data, and transfer administrator rights to another User, who thereby becomes a project manager.
Project Manager:
Has administrator rights but may not transfer them to others.
Analyst / Evaluator:
Users authorised to access and review results.
Program Participant:
A User with login credentials entitled to use the Services and Knowledge Base.
3.3. The Service Provider is not responsible for the accuracy of data recorded by Users with appropriate authorisation.
By registering, the User declares that they have read and accepted the GTC and the Privacy Policy and consent to the processing of their data. The Service Provider assumes no liability for errors resulting from incorrectly or inaccurately provided data, nor for damages arising from lost passwords or unauthorised access not attributable to the Service Provider.
Users may correct data entry errors at any stage before submitting the order, and may modify data during use of the Service/Product. The Service Provider shall not be liable for any damage arising from data changes made by the User.
4. Purchase and Payment Terms

Selection is made by clicking the checkbox or the product name.
The purchase price is the amount displayed next to the service; unless indicated otherwise, it is net of VAT. VAT is added upon summarising the selected items.
Invoices are issued based on the data entered at checkout. Performance is deemed completed at the time of purchase/payment.
The Service Provider cannot verify whether the paying individual is authorised to act on behalf of the purchasing organisation. Payment is made by bank card; authorisation is checked by the issuing bank.
The Service Provider does not verify the correctness of invoicing details. If the buyer requests amendment of the invoice without price changes, a corrected invoice will be issued.
Users are entitled to use the purchased digital products/services. If use is delayed or does not occur due to User error, the Service Provider is not obliged to refund fees.
The Service Provider reserves the right to change prices; changes take effect upon publication and shall not adversely affect prices of already ordered items.
If an incorrect price appears due to error (e.g. “0” Ft, “1” Ft), the Service Provider is not obliged to provide the service but may offer purchase at the correct price. Product images may differ from the actual product.
Payment is completed by clicking the Pay button. Invoices are automatically sent to the email provided during registration. Online payments are processed through Paylike. Card details do not reach the Service Provider. Privacy policy of Paylike ApS: https://paylike.hu/privacy/end-users
5. Liability
Information on the Website is provided in good faith but is for informational purposes only; the Service Provider accepts no liability for its accuracy, completeness, or applicability.
Users access the Website at their own risk and accept that the Service Provider is not liable for material or immaterial damages, except for damage caused intentionally, by gross negligence, criminal offence, or breach resulting in injury to life, physical integrity or health.
The Service Provider excludes all liability for the behaviour of Website users.
Users are solely responsible for their own behaviour. The Service Provider will cooperate fully with authorities in investigating violations.
Links may lead to third-party websites; the Service Provider is not responsible for their data protection practices or activities.
User-generated content may be monitored by the Service Provider, but the Service Provider is not obliged to do so.
Users must comply with applicable national laws when using the Website, including laws of their country of residence.
Users must report objectionable content to the Service Provider, who may remove or modify such content if justified.
The Service Provider endeavours to support Users with CASSEE products but accepts no liability for the information provided during the Services.
6. Copyright
All content on cassandraprogram.com is protected under Act LXXVI of 1999 on Copyright.
Any misuse of copyrighted content or unlawful use contrary to purchase terms, including threats of such behaviour, may result in suspension of access until legal remedy is obtained.
Sharing purchased content or granting access to third parties qualifies as breach of contract.
Saving or printing Website content is permitted only for private use or with prior written permission from the Service Provider. Any use beyond private use (e.g. storage in databases, distribution, publication) requires written authorisation.
Neither registration nor use of the Website grants any rights to use commercial names or trademarks displayed on the Website. No intellectual property may be used without prior written permission beyond what is required for normal use of the Website.
7. Customer Service

Responses are provided during business hours, Monday–Friday, 10:00–17:00.
8. Complaint Handling Options
Complaints may be submitted via email to Customer Service.
For cross-border disputes related to online contracts, the competent body is the Conciliation Board operating beside the Pest County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Users may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution Platform, which requires simple registration:

The Service Provider is obliged to cooperate in conciliatory procedures.
Complaints are examined and answered within 30 days.
Records and responses must be retained for five years.
9. Other Provisions
The Website operates on a WordPress-based information system. Although security is adequate, Users should apply standard precautions such as antivirus and spyware protection and installing system updates.
Website use presumes Users understand the technical and operational limitations of the Internet and accept inherent risks. The Service Provider may amend these GTC at any time; amendments take effect upon publication. Amendments do not affect use of already purchased products/services.
